It is our clear expectation that every child comes to school on time everyday. This links clearly with our school ethos of .  In order to be able to grow and fulfill their potential, children need to be in school to receive their full entitlement.

Here at East Wickham Primary Academy, attendance is a whole school approach. We have a robust attendance policy and strategy and make no apology for our drive to get children into school.

We reward good attendance and punctuality on a daily, weekly and termly basis. Children who show ongoing good attendance and also children who show improved attendance are celebrated.

Across the school, from every class, we have a team of Attendance Ambassadors. These children have been selected as attendance role models as they have either improved their personal attendance (significantly) from previous years or, they have always had very good attendance from their point of entry.

This team of children, work with the teachers and the Co-Headteachers to promote good attendance and reward their peers good attendance. We are very proud of the work they do.
