Quotes from survey responses  :

The eths and community spirit, the children feel valued and well cared for, the schools approach to KS1 SATs was fantastic, there was no pressure placed on my child and he did not feel any stress.

To be honest EWPA is an outstanding school where every child is treated with respect and dignity. The teachers are wonderful and teach their children with love and care, this is the best organised school I’ve ever seen since I came to London.

They are proactive in managing behaviour and have a very positive rewards based approach. Staff show good role models to children with kind behaviour

The best thing is they know the children’s learning abilities very well, my child had lots of problems but as soon as they found out they solved it , they provided all help and guidance

The school always has fun things going on -, i.e. end of term disco, Easter bonnets, science week etc. nothing is too  much for them

Communication, challenging the children to do better, reward systems, friendly teachers and staff, maximum effort from all teachers and children!

EWPA know their children well, the office staff always say hello as well as management and other staff, their school reports are detailed and my daughter is very happy at this school.

They give a great foundation for children to develop, excellent teachers who give one to one help when kids are struggling, teachers carry the parents along with every stage of development

East Wickham helps children to improve rapidly, the staff are good listeners, I am very happy with this school

The teachers all show care and compassion for the children, however, the children have always respected their authority

I am happy with the teachers, the different Nursery activities like BLAST, wellie Wednesday, tasty Tuesday makes it interesting for kids to go to school

They are caring, friendly and supportive.

I believe that EWPA is a school that cares about its students well-being as well as their academic progress, they take time to get to know children individually and are very good at helping children make the t=right choices

I am very grateful for the support they have always given my child, they always keep me informed and updated on her progress and any changes.

My child is well looked after and measures are taken to ensure she has a good education

We have received great support, great teaching and SENCO counselling.

Questions from survey responses: (and replies)

My child goes to after school club so I find that I can’t talk to staff if I need to as I am not at the school

You can telephone us and leave a message for any teacher and they will return your call in a break time.

Could we have an after school art class and netball instead of rounders?

We are always looking out for new clubs and exciting things for the children to do, we will see if we can find an art class this year, please note Welling Secondary has a primary art club.

Give children more homework worksheets for the things they need to improve on

Usually we have as many suggestions for less homework as we do for more homework ! Please see your child’s class teacher if you would like to discuss skills practice.

Could children start in their new year group in July like Welling Secondary do, this could help with transition.

We would need to discuss early entry to Year Seven to do this, whilst we like the idea we still have 90 Year Six children in school, we will ask our local secondary schools what they think!

Can you get plastic book covers to protect reading books, some of them are ripped.

We will need to analyse the cost of this as we probably have several thousand reading books in school, please return any damaged books directly to the class teacher and we will arrange replacements.

Please can we have more pictures on Facebook across all year groups and classes

Unfortunately, we are really struggling with the new GDPA regulations, if we do not get majority permission from all class parents then we cannot publish pictures and information. Please remember to get those letters back to us!

Could the children use the top infant playground more often?

We need to upgrade the paths and soft surface in this area – we await quotes and then we will refresh it as a matter of urgency now that the main playground is completed.

Please remember your child’s class teacher can help to answer any query or pass it on to someone who can help you. Thank you for all your responses and comments.
