Organisation

East Wickham Primary Academy is a 3-form entry school with a maximum of 630 children in the main school. The keystages are split across two buildings separated by a field. The children are divided by age into 21 classes. Classes have a maximum number of 30 children per class. In addition to this we also have a 52 place nursery provision that offers 3 hour morning sessions.

Working with our teachers, we have a number of highly skilled teaching assistants to support and work alongside the children. We have a large pastoral team consisting of a Learning Mentor, two ACE tutors and a Family Liaison Officer.

As a school we employ a Specialist Speech and Language therapist who will assess children and provide support to both the teachers and parents. She works alongside Bexley's Joint Communication Team, ensuring that children with speech and language programs are effectively making progress.

Both buildings comprise of well-equipped classrooms and large assembly halls. We have two kitchens situated in each building offering a wide range of hot, nutritious meals.

Our wrap around care provider is Cherry Tree and this is located on our school site behind our nursery building. They offer breakfast and after school care exclusively for all EWPA children. Further information about this service can be found on the wraparound care tab.

We are fortunate to have a large field and a variety of outdoor learning spaces. All EYFS and KS1 classes take part in regular outdoor Forest School lessons.

Disabled Access

There is step-free access to both the KS1 and KS2 buildings.
